Singer Adele announces residency in Las Vegas

Female pop star Adele has announced a 16-show residency in Las Vegas. It will begin in December and run through March 2020.

Adele made the announcement via Instagram and video on Saturday.

“Hi guys, I’m going to be playing 16 shows in Las Vegas. The beginning is December,” she said. “I’m going to put all my energy into it. It’s going to be amazing. See you all there. And watch this space.”

Adele, who has sold 30 million albums worldwide and 11 million singles, signed a deal with Caesars Entertainment, a leader in hotel entertainment.

The upcoming residency marks the first time in her career she will play more than one concert in the same night.

She also hosted “Saturday Night Live” in 2017.

Adele’s hit records have included “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” “Someone Like You” and “Hometown Glory.”
